As I travelled around, exploring alleys and connecting with fellow beings through limited language, Google Translate, and body language, I refined the art of listening and helping others lower their guard, giving me a heightened understanding of their world.

Over time, without a deep passion for English or Geography, I began to feel the limits of teaching. I questioned what I was truly good at. I wasn’t the strongest artist, musician, , or photographer, and for a while I wasn’t sure how I’d reach my potential.

When I stripped everything back, things stood out. First, a stint as a Curriculum Developer had been the most enjoyable part of my teaching career, as I loved making content & games. Second, my earlier instinct to

understand had only grown stronger; I’m someone who offers sound advice, diffuses tension, and connects with people from all walks of life.

With those insights, I started exploring what field could bring these strengths together. That’s when I found UX Design, a discipline that lets me research people and create meaningful experiences from those insights. I’m now working toward an internship with my company in Toronto (December 2025) to further this path.
